Christmas Favours

Festive candles, soaps and shawls for holiday tables, office parties and winter weddings.

How many Christmas favours to order

For a seated dinner, count one favour per adult guest and add roughly five percent. On a table of 100 confirmed guests that means 105 pieces, which covers the two late additions, the piece that goes to the venue as a display sample and the one you keep for yourself. For an office party or a church event where numbers drift, order against the room capacity rather than the RSVP list, because we make everything to order and a second small batch later will be a separate production run.

If you plan to hand favours out rather than place them at each seat, order around eighty percent of the headcount. Not everyone collects a favour from a table by the door, and unclaimed pieces are the most common reason people over-order.

Choosing between the four options

  • Wood Slice Tealight Holder — the most atmospheric choice on a long dinner table, since it doubles as table decoration before guests take it home. Best where the venue allows open flames.
  • Christmas Candle Favour — scented, boxed, and the safest all-rounder for mixed guest lists. Good for corporate gifting where you want something that looks considered but not personal.
  • Christmas Soap Favour — light, unbreakable in transit, and the easiest to post on to guests who cannot attend.
  • Christmas Pashmina Shawl Gift — a winter favour with real use: guests wear it during the evening if the venue is cold. Heavier per piece, so budget accordingly for larger counts.

Many customers mix two: shawls for the top tables and candles or soaps for the rest. If the shawl is the part you like most, the full year-round range sits in Pashmina Shawl Favours.

Colours and personalisation

Classic Christmas schemes work best with Forest Green, Burgundy and Red, warmed with Ivory or Cream. For a winter wedding that is not overtly festive, Rose Gold with Ivory, or Charcoal Grey with White, reads as seasonal without tinsel. Navy Blue, Royal Blue and Baby Blue suit a frosted or snow-themed room, and Pale Pink, Lilac or Purple give a softer table.

Personalisation is printed or applied by hand and normally carries names, a date and a short line such as a thank-you or a greeting. Keep tag wording under about eight words so it stays legible at favour size. Send the exact spelling, including accents, as you want it to appear; we set it as written.

How they arrive and how to pack for the venue

Each favour is finished, labelled and packed individually by hand, then grouped in the shipping cartons in counts you can hand straight to a venue coordinator. Ask us to divide them per table if you are placing them at seats — it saves an hour of counting the night before.

Unpack and check the box the day it arrives, not the week of the event. Keep candles and soaps away from radiators in storage, and store shawls flat rather than in a pile under other boxes.

Order a sample first

If the wording, the colour or the scent matters to you, request a free sample before committing to the full run. It is the only way to judge a colour against your real table linen, and it answers the question of whether a name reads clearly on a small tag.

For quantities above 100, or if you want a mixed order across candles, soaps and shawls on one invoice, send the details through the bulk quote request with your date and headcount. Couples planning a December wedding often pair these with Keepsake Favours for the wedding party.
