Keepsake Favours
Small handmade keepsakes that are light to post and useful enough to keep.
Who keepsake favours suit
A keepsake favour is the right choice when you want guests to carry something home rather than consume it. Macramé keychains are practical: they get used, they travel well in a suitcase, and they weigh very little, which matters if you are shipping favours abroad or carrying them to a destination venue yourself. They also work for guests of every age, which edible and scented favours do not always do.
If you would rather guests take home something they use up, look at Candle & Tealight Favours. If you want a favour that doubles as a wrap for a cool evening ceremony, the Pashmina Shawl Favours are the usual alternative.
How many to order
Count guests, not invitations, then add a margin. A simple rule: one favour per adult guest, plus 5 to 10 percent extra. The extras cover late RSVPs, a guest who takes two, and the pieces you will want to keep for yourself, your parents and your photographer.
Worked example: 120 confirmed guests, of whom 14 are children. That is 106 adult favours. Round to 115 to cover the margin and keep five aside for photographs and the memory box. Many couples order one per couple instead for keychains — if you do that, count households and still add the margin, because guests rarely share neatly on the day.
Personalisation and colour
Everything is personalised by hand after you order, so the text is yours: names, a wedding date, initials, a short thank-you line or a company name for corporate gifting. Keep it short. Small tags read best with a few words, and a long sentence has to be set so small that it stops being legible across a table.
Colour and cord options are listed on the product page itself — order from what is shown rather than describing a shade from a mood board, as we do not dye to match. If you need a specific combination across a large run, ask when you request a quote so we can confirm availability before you commit.
How they are made and packed
Each keychain is knotted and finished by hand once your order is placed, so a batch of 150 is genuinely made for you rather than pulled from stock. Expect the small variations that come with handwork: knot tension and length can differ by a millimetre or two between pieces. Seen as a set on a favour table, they look consistent; held side by side and measured, they are not identical.
Favours are packed individually by hand and boxed in counted batches, so you can check quantities against your list without unpacking everything. Tell us if you want them grouped by table or by guest name and we will pack to that plan.
Order a sample before you commit
For any order over about 50 pieces, see one first. A free sample request lets you check the size in your hand, the weight of the cord and how your names look once they are actually printed or engraved, rather than on screen. It is also the quickest way to settle a disagreement about colour.
When the sample is approved, send your final count, wording and date through the bulk quote request. Because every piece is made after the order, lock your quantity before production starts — adding 20 more later means a second small batch rather than an extension of the first.
