How many favours to order

Count confirmed guests, then add a small buffer rather than ordering exactly one per invitation. A useful rule: take your guest number, add ten per cent, and round up to a tidy figure. For a 70-guest shower that means 80 pieces. The extras cover last-minute plus-ones, a few keepsakes for the parents, one for the photographer and one or two that get knocked off the table.

If couples are attending together, some hosts give one favour per couple and a separate small gift to children. That can cut the count by a third, but decide before you order — adding twenty pieces later means a second handmade batch and separate packing.

Choosing between soap and candle

• Pumpkin Soap Baby Shower Favour — best for autumn showers and gender reveals. A soap is used rather than stored, which suits guests who travel light, and it sits flat in a favour box or a basket by the door.

What we can personalise

Each favour is finished by hand with the text you send: the baby's name, the parents' names, the shower date, or a short line such as a thank-you to guests. Shorter text sits better on a small label, so aim for two or three lines. Send the exact spelling and any accented characters in writing when you order — we set the label from what you send, not from a phone call.

How they arrive

Everything is wrapped and packed by hand in the workshop, then boxed in counted groups so you can check the quantity without unpacking the lot. Favours arrive assembled and ready to place on the table — no gluing labels or tying ribbon on the morning of the shower. Keep candles and soaps out of direct sun and away from radiators once they arrive, and unpack a day early so you can lay them out calmly.
